Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: ICU Job Duration: 8-week contract Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years required, travel experience required License: Active license required upon submission Certifications: BLS and ACLS required Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred, EPIC experience preferred Job Description: - Work in a Medical Overflow Float Pool, experiencing patients from all levels of acuity ranging from ICU to Medical-Surgical. - Possibility of floating to other departments or campuses if needed. - May be required to task in the Emergency Department. - Patient ratios will generally be 1:6. - Handle a variety of patient diagnoses, including but not limited to respiratory failure, post-cardiac arrest, severe sepsis, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, seizure epilepsy, gastrointestinal bleeds, and drug overdoses. - Manage patients requiring complicated medical and ventilator management. - Care for low-volume populations such as those with unstable angina, cerebral vascular accidents, and diabetic ketoacidosis. - Perform cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, mechanical ventilation, pharmacological support, and interventions in case of respiratory or cardiac arrest. - All travelers are subject to float as needed. - Must complete pre-start compliance on time for the proposed start date. - Participate in a 16-hour orientation, with modules completed during this period. Additional Requirements: - COVID-19 Vaccine: Required, with medical/religious exemptions only. - Flu Vaccine: Required, with medical/religious exemptions only. - Complete all modules during orientation.
