Empire Charlotte Office, 8008 Corporate Center Dr, Charlotte, North Carolina, United States of America Req #1348Tuesday, October 8, 2024Empire Communities is hiring a VP, Land Acquisition in Charlotte, NC.As our VP, Land Acquisition you have a significant role in evaluating potential land purchases to grow the Charlotte division and land pipeline. In this position, you will communicate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders while completing due diligence investigations, preparing proformas, and conducting market research.What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • At least 10 years in a similar role within the land acquisition field

      • Manage and participate in essential activities of land acquisition including contacting brokers and landowners, preparing contracts and negotiations, gathering property data to include a variety of demographics such as site plans, surveys, schools, zoning, and land investigations.
      • Gather and coordinate contract terms for Seller and Purchaser to include contract dates, earnest money, and inspection periods.
      • Track and document land activities across market.
      • Preliminary land planning and site engineering in collaboration with the Land Development.
      • Coordinate land closings.
