description:Truist Audit Services is seeking an experienced Audit
Director responsible for coordinating and managing key governance
activities and overseeing the Professional Practices Issues
Management and Regulatory Relations teams. As Director, you will
play a critical role in developing and leading process
improvements, enhancing and standardizing board and committee
reporting, and driving key governance processes for efficient and
effective functioning of the department, supporting the delivery of
high-quality assurance activities. This role is key in supporting
the Senior Director of Issues Management and Regulatory Relations
in executing the delivery of value-added independent, objective
risk-based internal audit assurance services for the Audit
Committee and Executive Management.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIESFollowing is a summary of the essential functions
for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor,
which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from
time to time.
- Establish and manage a comprehensive, dynamic audit assurance
program for assigned business units (BU). Supervise and coordinate
audit activities to ensure all assigned responsibilities are
performed in a high quality manner and on a timely basis.
- Directly manage a team of audit professionals and assume
responsibility for the overall coordination and successful
completion of a dynamic audit plan for assigned BUs. Effectively
lead and manage resources to ensure performance measures and
metrics are established and met. Provide leadership in the coaching
and development of staff.
- Proactively develop and maintain mutually beneficial working
relationships with senior management of assigned BUs.
- Supervise and participate in the planning, scoping and
execution of audit activities within the framework established by
the department's policies and audit methodology.
- Comprehensively analyze assigned BUs existing systems,
processes and controls to determine the adequacy of the design and
operating effectiveness of internal controls. Ensure compliance
with laws, regulations, and corporate policies. Identify and
evaluate risks present in BU coverage areas.
- Review and approve audit reports, ensuring they are accurate,
clear, concise and relevant such that recipients readily understand
issues and risks.
- Develop and monitor risk assessments through interaction with
and analysis of assigned business units. Lead the regular
aggregation, correlation, and analysis of a robust program of
business monitoring activities designed to identify potential
changes impacting the risk profiles.
- Serve as an audit subject matter expert for assigned BUs, and
continually monitor trends and developments in the auditing
profession and banking industry.QUALIFICATIONSRequired
Qualifications:The requirements listed below are representative of
the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable

- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or business-related
field, or equivalent education and related training or
experience.
- Ten years of progressive audit, risk, or examiner experience
with a significant portion in the financial services industry,
preferably with a large financial services firm.
- Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of banking, risk
management, and audit practices, with the ability to understand the
broader risk.
- Excellent leadership abilities, decision making, and critical
thinking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability
to effectively communicate with senior management and other
stakeholders.
- Appropriate professional certification, such as, but not
limited to, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Information
Systems Auditor, or Certified Public Accountant.Preferred
Qualifications:
- Previous board and/or committee level reporting, with strong
attention to detail.
- Advanced knowledge, ability and expertise in audit and a broad
understanding in multiple areas of banking and financial
services.
- Ability to interact directly with senior business leaders,
Audit Services Senior Leadership Team, audit directors and audit
professionals.
- Experience in the Practices division within large banking
organization internal audit function desired.
- Advanced degree in a Business-related field and/or advanced
education related to risk management and/or banking
supervision.
- Knowledge of Archer of eGRC application.General Description of
